How matching works

One careful request.
A clear next step.

Borrower Brief organizes the information participating providers commonly review. If a provider indicates it may be able to help, you continue there to see its disclosures and decide for yourself.

  1. 01
    Set the amount and purpose

Begin with what you need—not the largest amount on the screen.

  2. 02
    Complete every required detail

Built-in checks catch missing and incorrectly formatted information.

  3. 03
    Providers are checked in sequence

The process stops when one participating provider accepts the handoff.

  4. 04
    Review before you agree

Final eligibility, APR, fees, and terms come from the provider.

Before you begin

Have the facts ready.

A complete request reduces preventable mismatches. Provider criteria still vary, and submission never guarantees an offer.

01

Be 18 or older

You must be legally able to enter an agreement.

02

Live in the U.S.

Use a current address in an eligible state.

03

Have regular income

Provide an accurate source and upcoming pay dates.

04

Use your own account

An active checking or savings account held in your name.

Pressure-test the payment before the offer.

Change the amount, estimated APR, and term to see how a payment and total cost can move. Then compare the estimate with the provider's written terms.

Consumer safety

If someone guarantees approval, stop.

Real providers review eligibility. Never send money by gift card, cryptocurrency, or wire transfer to “release” loan funds—and never share your online-banking password.

Common questions

Before you submit.

Direct answers about Borrower Brief's role and what a request does—and does not—mean.

Is Borrower Brief a lender?

No. Borrower Brief provides education and a matching service. We do not originate loans, make credit decisions, set terms, or fund requests.

Does a request guarantee an offer?

No. Providers determine eligibility, state availability, pricing, and final terms after their own review and verification.

Do I have to accept a matched product?

No. Review the provider's complete disclosures and compare alternatives. Submitting does not obligate you to accept.

What information should I prepare?

Have your current address, identification, income, employer, pay-date, and bank-account details ready. Never provide an online-banking password.

Important consumer disclosure

Borrower Brief is not a lender, creditor, broker, or loan servicer. Information submitted through the request form may be shared with participating third-party financial-service providers for matching. Borrower Brief does not make credit decisions or guarantee approval, an offer, a rate, a funding amount, or funding time.

Rates, fees, repayment terms, eligibility, and state availability are determined solely by participating providers. Review all provider disclosures before accepting any financial product. Submitting is free and creates no obligation to accept.
